Research Interest

Hello, my name is May Lee, and I am a first year graduate student. I am originally from Taipei, Taiwan, however I grew up in West Texas. I plan on doing a clinical focus at Columbia University School of Social Work with a dual degree at Columbia's Master's of Public Health program in sociomedical sciences. Coming into grad school, I was really interested in doing both research and practice for a student-faculty led lab. I am currently involved in the Reproductive Justice initiative and with Umoja Circles in order to work towards equity and providing spaces for black folx in the wake of these past two years. My future goals are to get my LCSW and to be able to do both counseling and case-managing among immigrant populations regarding trauma, immigrant health and reproductive health. I am super excited (and nervous) to be at CSSW and to be able to learn alongside all of my peers in New York City!
