Research Interest

Eva Gordon, LMSW, has been a social worker in the New York City area for over 15 years. Since 2015, she has been a psychotherapist in Brooklyn, NY. She mainly provides mental health services primarily to the Black community within a cultural framework. Many clients are treated for depression, anxiety, bereavement, family, and marital issues. She was previously the Program Coordinator for the East New York Community Partnership Program (CPP), a referral network of 40+ organizations strengthen children and families with services in the East New York area. Ms. Gordon received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Pittsburgh in 2000. She then completed her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University in 2007. In addition to her professional experience, Ms. Gordon volunteers as Chairperson of Your Body Is a Temple (YBIT) Health Ministry at Siloam Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, NY. The health ministry provides health information to the congregation and community, through workshops, health fairs, health screenings and prayers. She also enjoys music and movies in her spare time.
